About Me
- Name: Colette
- Location: East of Cleveland by Lake Erie, Ohio, United States
I am a rebel. I am intelligent, creative, sexy, compassionate, funny, sarcastic, loving, romantic, spontaneous, moody at times, confused, confusing, a bit geeky, helpful and helpless at times, a good cook, a good listener, a good friend. I do not suffer fools gladly. I love good literature, good music, good cinema, good wine and good company with whom I can share all of those wonders. I am not your grandmamas Colette. ^_^

Low gas prices may technically be a constitutional right, but at this point it is also an impossibility. Prices are going to keep going up (some economists are predicting that gas will cost as much as $4 a gallon by this spring). The problem hasn't so much to do with something as simple as filling up our tanks less, driving less, using less heating during the winter, etc. (although a lack of conscientiousness in this area certain contributes to the problem). The fundamental reason why gas is so expensive involves something called "peak oil" -- that is, a phenomenon which will inevitably occur when global demand outstrips supply. While the oil reserves we rely on are steadily depleted, Americans continue to guzzle gas like mad; meanwhile, rapidly industrializing nations like China and India are themselves increasing their consumption of oil. Stay tuned: A major economic crash is just around the corner.
