Uhm...yeah right Will that's EXACTLY what I meant (WTF???)

No people kill people. They just use their supposed 'God' or religious fanaticism as an excuse...or perhaps you did not get what I was saying??????

Will,

I am sorry if I came off strong but I do get tired of people sometimes misconstruing what I say on MY OWN blog...

I AM hostile - about a lot...and no offense but your logic still sucks as far as I am concerned again God does not kill people PEOPLE KILL PEOPLE and I don't get how an intelligent person - especially one who does not believe in God can make that jump....to me it's faulty logic

God (at least the God/Goddess I believe in) does not kill people, and I don't follow that ergo because they (stupid people) claim it's the will of 'God' or their belief that God either a) caused them to do it, or b) had a 'hand' in it means that GOD did anything at all...

I also believe most people - especially fundamentalists - are raving lunatics and are only using an excuse for their horrid behaviours.

So sorry again if I came off snippy but yeah I can be a bitch - welcome to MY blog...you can read and comment as well as you like but if I take issue with you or your comments then being the well 'editor' and owner here I am going to tell you so - and it might not be nice or diplomatic but then again it does not have to be - I get tired of 'faking' it too - niceness is overrated - that's not to say that being kind is not somehting I adhere to - but I am not going to be something i am not for someone I have never even met - hell I am not that way for the 'real' people in my life...

And by the way I use WTF? a lot to express anger and mainly frustration at people's ignorance and stupidity...if it's offensive what happens on this blog - then like I've told everyone else - stop reading I don't blog for you I blog for me....

I think, generally speaking, people kill people because there's a clash of interests. For instance: Our government has a vested interest in consolidating political power in the middle eastern block -- and this interest clashes with the interests of some who live there. Both sides resort to shooting at and bombing one another in an effort to advance their own interests. But people naturally find themselves shying away from such audacity -- so that when a suggestion is raised which might embolden them to go the ugly length, they embrace it enthusiastically. In other words, people like to convince themselves that what they're doing is in fact
"the will of God" or some other such righteous cause (e.g., sometimes selfish interests are violently pursued under the pretext of patriotism or altruism: anything which might inspire courage to cross the line of decency has probably been tried).

I guess what I'm trying to say is that people kill people in the name of a God -- but they also can (and have) killed each other in the name of lots of other things too. The chaos of violence and war makes people feel uneasy, so they gain a sense of confidence or security by doing it in the name of a higher and infallible authority -- whether it's God or morality or what have you. There's nothing that makes a man braver than the belief that he is on the side of right.
