NPR : Fighting Intensifies Along Lebanon-Israel Border
You know I haven't said too much about any of this - other than putting up links. What can you say about war..really...especially when you believe in and think we should *all* be striving for peace....
If I say Israel over-reacted,it's going to piss people off. If I say Hezbollah is a terrorist organisation hell-bent on destroying any chance for peace in the Middle East, it's going to piss people off. If I say that America needs to stop playing favourites and 'paying' Israel to continue to do 'whatever the fuck it pleases', no matter the consequence, it's going to piss people off....
So I am damned if I do and damned if I don't.
And with a president so far out of touch with reality it's pathetic - there just seems to be no end in sight...
I guess the best thing to say is:
"Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me."

weve been here before. we all know what this is REALLY about. the US is behind israel .. because it wants to assert its presence there. bottomline: OIL. i would not be surprise to see israel take more and more lands owned by the arabs. im not buying the kidnapped soldiers story ... you go to war because of kidnapping?? thats ludicrous ... (je ne regarde jamais CNN)
It is not about"terra" and it is not about the 2 kidnapped soldiers ( bombing a country and massive destruction- nope- it isn't adding up right)... IT IS about destablizing a region to keep as many troops there as possible, and yes , to build strength for Isreal...this is a time when Ceasefire should be discussed and a diplomatic team sent- I mean we all have now seen the photos- it is in many ways Genocide - dead women and children- is NOT dead Hezbolah...okay I have ranted enough..( I know I should blog on it) but this is Wrong on so many levels- just like Katrina last Summer...I have had Lennon's song Imagine in my head all day ( except Peter Gabriel is singing it...)and also Annie Lennox singing WHY...thanks for opening a dialogue on this...namaste...
