Sanitized DVD's are considered Copyright Infringement

I'm not sure where to stand on this. I do believe it's up to the parents to determine what their kids watch and don't watch. So from that perspective these companies were doing a good service.

On the other hand, dissemination of any copyrighted material IS a hot button issue in this digital age.

Hmmm....a conundrum indeed!

If the people sanitizing these things had their way years ago, Rhett would have said:

"Frankly my dear, I have to go away for a few days, but I'll be back soon, I promise, after all, we're married"

There's nothing wrong with a parent fast forwarding through parts of course. To me editing the original would be like blacking out words in books that you don't like - indefensible.
