"That's why they are called accidents..."
I was in a car accident this morning on my way into work I was not hurt - but I was jolted/jerked a little so now I have a pretty bad headache and I know my shoulders are going to be sore.
It was not my fault - it was a chain reaction; the car behind me was hit, so she hit me pushing me into the car ahead of me - my car and the car ahead of me were not badly damaged - just a little dent.
I called work first to let them know I'd be late and then I called E - who was comforting and helpful (well of course he was).
The girls who were driving the other cars were wonderful (one of them works at the same place I do - she was pretty shaken up) - the guy who cased the accident was upset, ranting and seemed to be hurt. A Cleveland police officer showed up and he ended up calling the Bratenahl police for us (so darling I did not need the number after all - but thanks)...
The police were wonderful. The people involved (for the most part) were as well and thankfully no one was too badly hurt.
The place where the accident happened always has these type of accidents - mainly cause everyone is driving too fast and no one is paying attention. I see them every day. You pray you are never involved in one but if you are then at least you can hope for the best possible outcome and at least my guardian angel was watching over me because this could have certainly been a lot worse.
