About Me
- Name: Colette
- Location: East of Cleveland by Lake Erie, Ohio, United States
I am a rebel. I am intelligent, creative, sexy, compassionate, funny, sarcastic, loving, romantic, spontaneous, moody at times, confused, confusing, a bit geeky, helpful and helpless at times, a good cook, a good listener, a good friend. I do not suffer fools gladly. I love good literature, good music, good cinema, good wine and good company with whom I can share all of those wonders. I am not your grandmamas Colette. ^_^

Well, it is the 50 anniversary of the opening of West Side Story!
I'd love to hear you sing for me. Just you.
I strain my ear trying to hear you sing at church, but there are so many voices and I struggle at hearing vocals as it is.
Lynn...
Wow I didn't know that....cool - I so want to go see it on Broadway - perhaps some day....(some how. somewhere - opps sorry that just slipped out *giggles*)
Darling...
Um...I only feel confident singing when I know the song well....often in church I struggle cause I was never taught how to read music...
You make me blush
Then sing something you know well. I have a church song book at home if you need some ideas.
Your apprehension of singing is kind of like me playing my instruments, I only know a few songs, but playing them decently over and over is perfectly just fine or me. Christmas songs are a fine example, but I still need sheet music to play them.
I want to learn to play guitar, violin, and piano and know only a few songs each. I can read music, so playing from sheet, like I did at Christmas at your brother's is fine to learn a song, but not perform from scratch. I usually need to hear it played to actually learn a song.
If you want, I can teach you to read music. It's actually quite easy, at least to be able to sing at church.
My love,
I have been singing since I was in 2nd grade with a choir - the only reason I made it to 'Senior Choir' at Normandy HS (and we got to perform the "Messiah" with the orchestra), was because of the 'strength of my voice' - now I am not so sure my voice is a strong as it used to be...but I do so love music and singing...
I would LOVE for you to teach me anything you want to teach to me - I think that's a wonderful way to bond with each other...
I love you, Erin.
