I am disappointed - I expected more of an answer (than that) form you...
And frankly it's not that simplistic - Bush is an asshole - he's surrounded himself with assholes and now, thanks to him we have YOUR generations Vietnam - congrats...
Yep every generation should have a useless war....its builds chracter and weeds out the gene pool
Okay, so maybe that was an inappropriate way to express myself -- but my point in it was that Americans in general tend to think and behave like children -- hence the re-election of Bush. You are bright, so you grasp the implications of our useless war in Iraq. The problem is that we can try to reason with pro-Bush folks until we're blue in the face, and the implications -- the gravity of the situation -- will still not sink into their heads. It just doesn't register; it's like trying to explain T.S. Eliot's poetry to a class of Kindergarteners. Does that sound too jaded? Well, maybe -- but my faith in the competency of the American public slipped several notches when Bush got re-elected.
